Google promises the devices for two years of Android updates, and three years of security updates.
Android One gives Google more control
Android One is not only for Google attractive, but also for manufacturers. The companies claim that the release of security updates is a time-consuming and expensive process. With Android One devices, is this ‘work’, however, with Google because the search giant to take care of the updates normally take care of. The manufacturer focuses instead on the hardware of the smartphone.
Android One gives Google more grip on its own operating system. Each year there is quite a lot of Android smartphones that are not all security updates (or updates in general). While the manufacturers of the high pace of new aircraft release, Google be looked at if there are vulnerabilities to be discovered, and these are not timely poem. In addition, of course, also a lot of users excited about Android One: you get the Android experience as Google meant, including good and relatively long device-support.
