WACO, Texas (AP) — Juicy Landrum scored 20 points and had two 3-pointers in an early run that put No. 2 Baylor ahead to stay, and the Lady Bears beat Texas Tech 87-79 on Saturday to extend their Big 12 record to 47 consecutive regular-season conference wins.

Lauren Cox added 17 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Bears (17-1, 6-0 Big 12), who also have a national-best 50-game home winning streak over the past three years. Queen Egbo added 16 points and eight rebounds, and Te’a Cooper had 15 points with eight assists.

There were five ties and 10 lead changes in the first quarter, but the Lady Bears went ahead for good on Landrum’s 3-pointer that made it 27-26 after the first 10 minutes. Landrum hit another 3 to start the second, part of a 14-2 run.

Brittany Brewer had 24 points and nine rebounds for Texas Tech (13-4, 2-4). Lexi Gordon had 18 points and Chrislyn Carr had 16.

BIG PICTURE

Texas Tech: Brewer, the 6-foot-5 senior who entered the game as the only player averaging more than 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 1/2 blocks a game, hit two 3-pointers in the first quarter. She was only 1 of 12 beyond the arc before Saturday. She had only one blocked shot against Baylor. ... While the Lady Raiders still lead the overall series 47-46, they have lost 21 in a row to Baylor and 31 of the last 32. Tech won 34 in a row against Baylor from 1984-2002 under Marsha Sharp.

Baylor: The Lady Bears won their second game in a row by fewer than 10 points without leading scorer and top rebounder NaLyssa Smith (16.3 ppg, 8.1 rpg), who is dealing with a sprained right ankle. Egbo has started in her place both times and had 14 points on Wednesday at TCU. Egbo started six games earlier this season when Cox missed more than seven weeks because of a foot issue.

UP NEXT

Texas Tech has a bit of a break before playing three of its next four games at home. The Lady Raiders host Oklahoma State next Saturday.

Baylor plays at home for the third time in four games on Tuesday night against Iowa State.
