Key Specifications. Review Price: £488.80. Nokia’s N95 was the swiss-army smartphone taken to its logical conclusion. If it didn’t quite claim to be all things to all men, it at least claimed .
The Bottom Line. The N96 has everything a gadgeteer could want, including vast amounts of memory, a good camera, great video playback quality and built-in GPS. But its build quality is a bit iffy .
The N96 provides easy access to Nokia's Music Store and features a DVB-H receiver for watching mobile digital TV – great for countries that can receive these broadcasts, useless if you live in the UK. In the box you'll find a disc containing Nokia's NSeries PC Suite. This software includes Video and Music Manager; you can drag and drop files .
Our main gripe with the N95 was poor battery life. Thankfully, the N96 is far superior in this regard, lasting an impressive 17 hours during testing. This is the first mobile handset to offer .
Nokia N96 just has so many new features that my old Nokia N91 does NOT have! 3. I have had my Nokia N91 for 2 (two) years and I got it as a birthday present. So it was my birthday again and my mother asked curiously that wich is a phone that I really like and I said of course the Nokia N96. And I got it almost immediately when it hit the Elisa .
Nokia N96 all over. Probably the most obvious alternative to Nokia N96 is Samsung i8510 INNOV8. It trades the DVB-H receiver for an 8 megapixel camera with lens cover, DivX support, DNSe audio .
The Nokia N96 has a pretty hefty reputation to live up to. The N95 was a true powerhouse, and the finest converged device of its time. With a 5 megapixel camera, 3G data, the powerful S60 UI and eventually 8GB of internal memory there were few devices that could compete with it, and arguably no one could do it as well. Then along came a little device out of Cupertino and the cellular landscape .
Report abuse. In reply to orzowei2000---01's post on October 5, 2008. I have the same problem with my new N96. The noise is just terrible. It seems that there is some kind of digital auto gain control for the mic and when there is silence it boosts the noise extremely. It's pure quantization noise.Nokia N96 Symbian smartphone.
