Polsstokhoogspringer Menno Vloon has Saturday at athletic games in the German city of Zweibrücken assured of especially to the world athletics championships in London.
The 23-year-old athlete from Krommenie complied with a height of 5.85 metres more than at the world cup-limit. He had a height of 5,70 metres curb to place itself.
Vloon improved with his jump also, the Dutch record. That was since 2004 in the hands of Rens Blom, who was at that time in Zaragoza to a height of 5,81 m.
The world champion pole-vaulting of 2005 congratulated Vloon with the new Dutch record. “Vloon crushes my Dutch record, congratulations. What a leap”, wrote Bloom on Twitter.

Vloon will be in London for the second time in his career to participate in a big tournament. He did so last year also participated in the european CHAMPIONSHIPS of athletics in Amsterdam, where he with a leap of 5.35 meters stranded in the qualifications.
The world CHAMPIONSHIP of athletics of 4 to 13 August in the British capital.
